Billy at last year's benefit. |
With a catalogue of hit records covering several decades, Billy Vera is best known for his worldwide number one hit, “At This Moment” (the love theme from Family Ties), a new version of which currently appears on Michael Buble’s “Crazy Love,” the number one album on the Billboard charts.
Billy’s other credits include his roles in several feature films (including Blind Date, with Bruce Willis & Kim Basinger, and Baja Oklahoma with Willie Nelson) his many television appearances (Tonight Show, soap operas, etc.), and for his wildly-popular King Of Queens theme. A native “Westchester boy” who headed for California in the late 80s, Billy Vera “struck gold” as a recording artist, songwriter (chart-topping records by Dolly Parton, Lou Rawls, etc.), record producer, feature film/television actor, voice-over talent for many of the world’s best-known brands/TV shows (Pepsi, Burger King, DirecTV, Gateway Computers, Toyota, Nissan, Mercury, Applebee’s, Jiffy Lube, Mervyn's, AM-PM, DirecTV, CBS, NBC, ABC, Fox, UPN, Pax, etc.), and as the voice of several cartoon characters (Ahh, Real Monsters, Johnny Bravo, etc.). He is honored with a star on the Hollywood Boulevard Walk Of Fame, sponsored by motion picture actress/legend Angie Dickinson.
Most recently, Billy has become the resident announcer for "Lopez Tonight" each weeknight on the TBS network, his song "At This Moment" is on Michael Buble's multi-million selling album "Crazy Love," and Pamela Anderson danced to "At This Moment" on "Dancing With The Stars."
Billy's performances benefitting VNSW -- backed by the "dancing-est rock & roll band in the land" -- mark his only appearances back in hometown Westchester since scaling the entertainment heights.
We look forward to greeting you on this very special evening!
