A tax deductible financial donation to Visiting Nurse Services In Westchester right now is one of the best ways to contribute to the well-being of the very fabric of the entire Westchester community: to help save lives, maximize treatment strategies and help the sick and disabled (adults, children and infants) feel as comfortable and comforted as humanly possible. VNSW is committed to maintaining the quality and quantity of the home care services it has been providing for nearly a century and to performing new services desperately needed due to the demands of today's environment.

Why?

Contrary to popular belief, there is no "central" or "national" Visiting Nurse Service Agency. Each local or regional Agency must generate its own resources to serve its community, and Visiting Nurse Services in Westchester is no exception. Insufficient reimbursement for services from third party payors (Medicare, Medicaid, and Private Insurance) makes keeping our mission of providing services regardless of ability to pay difficult, even with the current support from United Way and individual donors. VNSW provides free services to patients without health insurance who are unable to pay. In addition, VNSW provides a number of Community Education programs for which little or no reimbursement is forthcoming.

100% of every dollar you donate goes directly to VNSW, with no "middle-level" expenses deducted. Seventy four cents out of every dollar you donate are applied directly toward providing services to the patients who need them, with only twenty six cents applied to service support costs...so your donation helps make a big difference where it really counts!
