Should
Zoloft be discontinued during pregnancy? Could there be side effects for
the baby if you continue to use it?
Unfortunately, there are no
adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women regarding this
drug. This must be fully discussed with your physician if you intend to
become pregnant or are pregnant, and intend to breast feed your infant.
The literature recommends that
Zoloft should be used during pregnancy only if the potential benefits
justifies the potential risk for the fetus. That is why it is imperative
that you consult with your physician regarding the use of this drug.

My friend
was having signs of a heart attack. The doctors did an ekg but said they
found nothing. Her pulse rate was around 47. She thinks that she did have
a heart attack...
According to the American
Heart Association, a heart attack is usually signaled by one or more of
the following:
A. A pain, fullness or pressure
in the chest lasting two or more minutes.
B. A pain spreading through
the shoulders, neck or arm.
C. Severe pain, dizziness,
fainting, sweating, nausea and/or shortness of breath.
Your friend's physician, based
on the medical history, including risk factors, along with signs and symptoms
supported by EKG and laboratory findings, can make a determination whether
or not your friend had a heart attack.

My wife
was told that canned tuna in water has bad things such as preservatives
in it. That in oil is better. Can you give me any information about this.
Tuna in water has fewer calories and a different taste but if it has dangerous
chemicals we do not want to eat it. Can you help?
It is most important to read
the label on all food products that you purchase. There is a requirement
by Federal and State authorities that these labels are very explicit in
identifying what preservatives if any are contained in the can. Since
there are many different canned tuna products, it is difficult, without
having the label to review, to make a judgement in order to reply to your
question. Read the label carefully!!
