Reducing Cancer Risk:
Some Immediate Steps


  • Consume more cruciferous (cabbage-family) veggies such as broccoli, cauliflower, Brussels sprouts and kale.
  • Add high-fiber foods to your diet, such as whole grains, fresh fruits and vegetables.
  • Select foods rich in vitamins A and C.
  • Control your weight.
  • Limit or eliminate the consumption of foods containing fats and nitrites.
  • Reduce or stop the smoking of tobacco, and consume alcohol in moderation.
  • Stay out of the sun, or wear sunscreen and protective clothing.
