Lowering Cancer Risk


  • Avoid excessive sunlight, wear protective clothing and use effective sunscreens
  • Get regular health checkups
  • Stop smoking or using tobacco of any kind
  • Use alcoholic beverages only in moderation
  • Avoid unnecessary x-rays
  • Eat high fiber foods (such as fruits, vegetables, whole grain bread and cereals)
  • Eat foods low in fat (such as lean meat and low fat dairy products)
  • Discuss the risks of estrogen replacement therapy with your physician
  • Be aware of health & safety rules at your workplace and observe them
