Reducing stress has been identified
as a factor in helping to maintain good health. A moment taken to do the
following will help ease tension in your hands, shoulders, neck and head:
PALMS: Lace your fingers
together, leaving thumbs free. Slowly knead your left thumb into the palm
of your right hand for about half a minute, and then do the same with
your left hand.
SHOULDERS: Place your
left hand on the right side of your neck by your shoulder. Press fingers
firmly into your muscle while pulling your chin into your chest. Exhale,
hold for 10 seconds, do same on other side.
EYES: Close eyes, place
ring finger directly below eyebrows, near bridge of nose. Slowly increase
pressure for 5 seconds, gently release, repeat 2-3 times.
SCALP: Place thumbs
behind ears, spreading fingers on top of head. Move scalp back and forth
slightly by making circles with your fingertips for 15-20 seconds.
