COVID-19 Response Fund

Please Donate to VNSW's COVID-19 Home Care Response Fund!

Your donation will help us respond to growing community needs for home care during the Coronavirus crisis.

VNSW has been on the frontlines of providing home care services for our community for close to 120 years. Today, in the midst of this unprecedented Coronavirus outbreak, our   dedicated Nurses, Therapists, Social Workers and Home Health Aides are working tirelessly to ensure the health and safety of those in our care, including the vast majority of our   patients who are 65 and over -- those at the highest risk for developing serious complications from the virus.

As you know, there is a dramatic rise in the number of people who are testing positive for the virus and struggling to manage symptoms at home.  Many more are being discharged   to home care following treatment at local hospitals. As these numbers are projected to increase in the weeks ahead, home care is playing a vital role in freeing up hospital beds for   the most critical cases.

As a result, VNSW is seeing a surge in demand for our home care services.  To respond to the growing needs of our community, it is essential that we significantly increase our   service capacity now, and for the difficult time ahead.

Your tax-deductible donation to our COVID-19 Home Care Response Fund will make a tremendous difference   by helping us to purchase:

  • Additional Telehealth Remote Patient Monitoring devices to track patient vital signs and other health indicators remotely, heightening patient safety and the safety of our clinical team. Funding for this initiative is critical as Telehealth devices and services are not reimbursed by Medicare.

  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to protect our patients and staff while providing essential in-home services to COVID-19 patients. These include N-95 masks, gloves, gowns and goggles.

VNSW has helped our community get through other crises, such as 9/11 and Hurricane Sandy.  We would not have been able to do so without community support -- your support -- during those difficult times.  Now, more than ever, we ask for your help once again to help us help you, your family, friends and neighbors through a safe recovery at home. Together, we will get through this stronger than before.
