 VNSW Foundation's 2019 Spring Benefit Gala a Major Success!

Supporting VNS Westchester's Home Healthcare and Community Health Programs

More than 215 guests from the region's healthcare, business and nonprofit communities came out to support the VNSW Foundation's Spring Benefit Gala, held on May 15, 2019 at the Willow Ridge Country Club in Harrison.  Proceeds from the event of ver $110,000, will help support the vital home healthcare services and free community health education programs provided to over 10,000 people each year by Visiting Nurse Services in Westchester. 

Hosted by MC, Ken Buffa, NBC 4New York's Westchester Reporter, the event celebrated the contributions of three outstanding organizations and individuals who have helped our agency and the broader community through innovative initiatives that help improve the health and well-being of seniors, especially the fraily elderly.  Awards were presented to 2019 Honorees:   

Community Leadership Award - Presented by Dr. Amy Ansehl, Board Chair, VNSW Foundation, Inc.

Aging in America, Inc.
William T. Smith, Ph.D., President/CEO

Distinguished Service Award - Presented by Martin Considine, Board Chair, Westchester Visiting Nurse Services Group, Inc.

The evening also observed Older American's Month in May, highlighting the tremendous growth in the number of seniors in our region and the services needed to enable them to live independently and safely at home.
