Last week, members of the Visiting Nurse Services in Westchester (Putnam branch office), were heralded as heroes by members of the Putnam Legislature during its Health Committee meeting.  Mary McGuigan of Mahopac (at left in photo above), attended the session with nurse Kristin McGowan (center) and branch manager of our Putnam office, Loretta Molinari (right). Mrs. McGuigan told legislators that had it not been for the expert care received by her husband from the organization, "Bob would not be here today."

Robert McGuigan suffered a severe burn last year during a freak accident. He underwent triple by-pass surgery and developed multiple infections in incisions while hospitalized.  "When Bob came home from the hospital, nurse Kristin and her colleagues were here to assist like no one did at the medical center. She cleansed his wounds and treated the burns--seven days a week for more than six months. The angels saved my Bob's life! Kristin became part of our family!"

 

 

100 Leaders from Rockland Healthcare Organizations Celebrate Launch of VNSW Services in the County

VNSW hosted a packed reception at the Hilton Pearl River on March 27th to celebrate the launch of its services in Rockland. 100 representatives from hospitals, skilled nursing and rehabilitation facilities, assisted living centers, home health and social service agencies welcomed our agency to the County in light of the growing need for essential home healthcare and specialty services for local residents.
