Timothy P. Leddy Named President/CEO of Westchester Visiting Nurse Services Group

November, 19th 2015 in Press Releases

The Westchester Visiting Nurse Services Group, Inc. Board today announced that Timothy P. Leddy was unanimously chosen to serve as the next President and CEO of the Westchester Visiting Nurse Services Group. In this role, he will assume leadership of the Group’s affiliated agencies, VNS Westchester and Westchester Care at Home, effective immediately.

Leddy has served as the Group’s Interim President and CEO from January 2015 to the present, while simultaneously overseeing the fiscal operations of the two agencies as Chief Financial Officer, which commenced in 2014.  He joined the Group following three decades of experience serving in prominent positions in the home healthcare industry, including most recently as President and CEO of the Visiting Nurse Regional Healthcare System in Brooklyn.  Leddy holds a Master of Science degree in Health Policy & Management and an MBA in Business Administration & Financial Management.

WVNS Group Board Chair, Dr. Amy Ansehl, noted that Leddy was chosen from among a group of well-qualified candidates presented to the Board’s Search Committee by a consulting firm that worked with the Board in its search.  “Through his leadership over the past few months, Tim has helped our agencies maintain our stellar reputation for quality, patient-centered care,” said Dr. Ansehl. “The WVNS Group Board is confident that Tim will continue to propel our agencies forward as the preeminent providers of home healthcare in the region.”

According to Leddy, “I’m honored to take the helm of this remarkable organization as we begin a new chapter in our century-plus legacy of service to patients and families in our community. I’m looking forward to working with our dedicated Board, staff and with other healthcare systems and organizations to provide enhanced, cost-effective services that improve population health and patient satisfaction.”
