October, 10th 2023 in Press Releases

Visiting Nurse Services in Westchester (VNSW) celebrated the life of Joan C. Considine with her family at the unveiling of the new Joan C. Considine Professional Training Classroom on Tuesday, October 3, 2023, at the VNSW headquarters located at 1311 Mamaroneck Avenue in White Plains, NY.

"We are thankful to the Considine family for their donation of this beautiful professional training classroom in loving memory of Joan C. Considine," said Timothy P. Leddy, President and CEO of Visiting Nurse Services in Westchester. "This classroom dedication is a celebration of our shared commitment to providing quality care of life for families affected by Alzheimer's, dementia, or memory impairment by providing high-tech training for our staff. Joan was a true believer in service and lending a helping hand, and this classroom will serve as a vehicle to making the world a better place and allowing us to bring the best care home to our clients and their families in Joan's honor."

"The Cahill-Considine families are very pleased to support the exemplary work of VNSW bringing quality healthcare to Westchester and the surrounding areas," said Martin Considine. "Joan's education at Mercy College was a teaching degree because of her avid interest in educating students to achieve future success. It is therefore appropriate that a professional training classroom at VNSW will continue Joan's ongoing interest in educating home care professionals."
